Hollywood star Keanu Reeves is bringing back his fan-favourite character of John Constantine in the sequel to the blockbuster movie "Constantine". Hollywood star Keanu Reeves will be back as his fan-favourite character John Constantine in the sequel to the blockbuster movie Constantine.

According to entertainment news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, the follow-up movie has been green-lit by Warner Bros., which had also backed the first part.

Constantine was based on DC Comics' Hellblazer comic book and raised over USD 230 million in worldwide gross when it was released in 2005.

The film featured Reeves as the titular exorcist who has the ability to perceive and communicate with half-angels and half-demons in their true forms and can travel between Earth and Hell.

Filmmaker Francis Lawrence, who had helmed the first movie, is returning for the sequel with veteran scribe Akiva Goldsman penning the script.

Goldsman will also produce via Weed Road Pictures, with JJ Abrams producing via Bad Robot with Hannah Minghella.

Constantine is the second film franchise of Reeves that the actor has revived with Warner Bros.

Trace Adkins says he and Susan Sarandon had a strategy for getting along swimmingly on the set of Monarch, given their diametrically opposed political leanings.

The country singer appeared on HBO’s Real Time on Friday, where host Bill Maher wanted to know how Adkins, who is politically conservative and performed at the 2020 Republican National Convention, got along with Sarandon, who publicly espouses progressive viewpoints. Their new Fox drama series centers on Albie Roman (Adkins), an iconic country performer, and his wife, fellow vocalist Dottie Cantrell (Sarandon).

‘We just didn’t go there,’ said Adkins, who performed at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

After Maher said he hoped the two Monarch co-stars became “fast friends” despite their ideological differences, Adkins responded, “We did, I think. There were no issues. We went to work, and we did our work, and we stayed away from everything else.”

The plot soon takes on a much more formulaic edge, especially as the mystery dissipates and we double down on the whole plot centering on Bloom being the “chosen one.” Holding the power of the Dragon Flame inside, Bloom is forced to try and wield this to stop the forces of evil, while simultaneously keeping all her friends happy and her relationship with Sky intact.
