You can ask the Captain about it, to which he responds he of course knew David, since the kid was from his area.
And he contacts you with Falco. You know, one of the two survivors.
That is how the story ends. With him, and presumably Lucy, moving on.
That's how you get David's jacket. Also presumably, thanks to Lucy's will.
And V just tells her own story from that point. Outshining even David himself.
She didn't got the memo. Or didn't listen.
Edgerunners is a closed chapter. There is no happy end or material to follow. Sure, you could drag out Lucy's future life or Falco’s and his adventures. Just why?
It would only diminish the tale. And it was a beautiful one. Comics know this rule and never follow it —some things are better left untouched. Look at TDKR. How better would it have been without anything that came after. It applies to Edgerunners just as much.
If Edgerunners ever get “season 2” we will know. But be certain it will spin a completely different story. About completely different people. And I doubt they will earn a drink in Afterlife.
